Meet Your Yoga Nidra Guide

Kate Rock, Teacher & Founder Of Nidra Works

I was first introduced to Yoga Nidra when I trained as a yoga teacher and I fell in love with it.

One of the greatest aspects of Yoga Nidra is that it’s not the traditional yoga that everyone has in mind. There’s no bending or stretching, it’s completely accessible to anyone of any ability or experience.

The only thing that matters is that you want to take control over your health and wellbeing.

There is such a real need for rest in today’s world and Yoga Nidra is the answer that myself and millions of others have been searching for.

Through guided meditation, I can help you enter a state of conciousness between sleep and waking, that offers proven restoration and comfort to everyone who tries it.

Yoga Nidra is so simple that it can be done from your home and even at work, so if you’re interested in unlocking a more relaxed state of mind, then I’d love to be your guide on that journey.

What Are The Benefits Of Yoga Nidra?

Stress Reduction

Yoga Nidra is shown to drastically help alleviate stress and tension. It activates the relaxation response, leading to a decrease in the production of stress hormones like cortisol. People who try Yoga Nidra even once report reduced stress levels, improved mental wellbeing, and increased resilience to pressures.

Enhanced Focus

Regular practice of Yoga Nidra can improve your concentration and focus. The technique cultivates a state of relaxed alertness, helping you develop a clear and calm mind. You’ll experience increased productivity and efficiency in your work, leading to better performance in all your goals.

Better Sleep Quality

Yoga Nidra’s focus is to promote deep relaxation that can help address sleep-related issues such as insomnia or poor sleep quality. Through meditation you can benefit from improved sleep patterns, which enhances your overall energy, mood, and cognitive function during the workday.

Emotional Wellbeing

The practice of Yoga Nidra facilitates emotional healing and balance. It allows individuals to release emotional tension, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of emotional wellbeing, helping you manage your emotions effectively. All this goes to improving emotional resilience, and creating a more positive work and home environment.

Increased Self Awareness

Yoga Nidra is really effective at helping to develop a greater sense of self-awareness, self-compassion and self-acceptance through habitual practice. This positively impacts your relationships, communication, and decision-making skills at work and in your personal life. This is perfect for anyone who wants to also improve their mindfulness.

Physical Relaxation

Beyond simply the mental calm that Yoga Nidra is known for, the practice also heavily promotes physical relaxation by systematically releasing tension from different parts of the body. This is perfect for reducing physical discomfort, alleviating chronic pain and improving overall physical wellbeing. Yoga Nidra is so simple, truly anyone can do it!

We brought Kate in to be part of our activities for World Sleep Day last year. It was so popular, we went on to commission monthly sessions which we've now extended for another year. Our team love it. I would highly recommend this as part of any company’s wellbeing offering

Alix Paley Wellbeing Team, Mace Group

These sessions offer precious time to rest and recuperate which is vital in today’s world, especially post-COVID. Having this as part of your wellbeing package will see only benefits - and many of them - for both your employees as individuals and your company as a whole. Highly recommend.

One of the most effective ways I can really relax and switch off. And though it's known as 'Yoga Nidra', there’s no actual yoga involved - at least no bendy movement! You don’t need to know anything about meditation either. It all just happens for you. Brilliant!
