what is yoga nidra?
Yoga Nidra is as old as yoga itself. First recorded in ancient Hindu texts written over 2600 years ago, the practice was originally known as “Yogic Sleep”.
Like its original name would suggest, unlike traditional yoga, Nidra’s focus isn’t on the physical, but instead focuses on helping you hover in a unique state between sleep and waking, creating awareness in a fully relaxed mindset.
In the chaos of the modern world, Yoga Nidra is the perfect solution to finding a calming oasis of time to yourself. Not only is it incredibly easy to learn, but it’s possible for anyone of any physical ability or skill level to do absolutely anywhere.
With our meditation guides, we can help you discover the power of Yoga Nidra and provide you with a tool to add relaxation and mindfulness to your life. It’s time to find out that Nidra Works!
Why Choose Nidra Works?
In the modern world, everyone experiences some form of stress, no matter how hard they try to avoid it.
While stress can be ignored for a long time and people adapt to simply accept their background stress as normal, if left unchecked this almost always leads to burnout, anxiety and depressive periods.
Yoga Nidra not only helps with reducing stress during your guided sessions, but the more you practice it, the easier it becomes to enter states of relaxation in your own time. Yoga Nidra gives you the skills to take control of your own mental health and wellbeing, and start tackling stress rather than ignoring it.
Beyond simply the mental healing that Yoga Nidra offers, regular practice of the "yogic sleep" technique can also help the body heal and rejuvinate by dramatically lowering stress and anxiety.
During our Nidra sessions, you'll find that you will be more relaxed, your metabolism slows down, while your hormonal functions increase. This gives you body the break it needs to effectively repair and purge toxins from your system.
And the more you practice Yoga Nidra, the more effective your body will become at returning to this relaxed state as and when you need it.
Sleep is at the very heart of Yoga Nidra. Its original translated name even mean "yogic sleep", providing an ancient technique to enter a relaxed state of conciousness in between sleep and waking.
Yoga Nidra has been shown through research to be extremely beneficial in improving sleep, something which so many people in the modern world struggle with.
Throughout your day, you can use Yoga Nidra to lower your stress levels and effectively prepare your body for sleep, to drastically improve your sleep cycle and say goodbye to sleepless nights.

I Know That Nidra Works!
Ever since I trained as a yoga teacher in 2019, the moment I first encountered Yoga Nidra, I knew I wanted to explore it more.
Unlike so many other forms of yoga, the focus on the mind, sleep and mental wellbeing stood out to me immediately. It was not only accessible, but also incredibly effective at helping me in my own life with a full time job and family.
I went on to train with renowned yoga teacher Helen Moss on her Nidra Restore/Imagine Rest Course and it was obvious from this experience that training with Total Yoga Nidra Network was next. Having completed their Total Yoga Nidra Immersion Experience course in 2022, I was finally able to go on and complete their Teacher & Facilitator Training to officially become a qualified Yoga Nidra teacher.
Yoga Nidra has changed my life for the better and I’m desperate to share the benefits of Yoga Nidra with as many people as I can, to change their lives for the better too!
Having built a team of full trained Yoga Nidra practitioners from around the world, I’m now ready to help you improve your life and give you the tools you need to control and maintain your own mental wellbeing.
